Project term: 15.11.2022-15.08.2023
The project “Access to finance and MSME resilience support”, implemented by German Sparkassenstiftung in Ukraine, aims to improve access to and the use of financial services for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSME). It seeks to provide the population with a prospect of rebuilding in times of crisis and high risk by the means of supporting MSME with grants linked to investment and working capital loans. The maximum grant for a single business is the equivalent of EUR 30,000. The loan amount for such a grant would have to be at least EUR 100,000 but can be up to EUR 240,000.
The project supports Bank Lviv, Oschadbank, as well as the Business Development Fund of Ukraine through capacity building measures (establishment of eligibility criteria, defining the process of grant disbursement for loans, monitoring, and reporting etc.). The blended financing supports MSMEs, especially in rural areas, to ensure business continuity under adverse framework conditions. Capacity building measures help them to identify their perspectives for sustainable growth and prepare their businesses for transformation in line with the strategy of Ukraine.
The intervention signals practiced solidarity through a directed partnership with the Ukrainian financial and private sector; and it provides the foundation for re-entering sustainable growth.
