Gohar Tadevosyan

Running a small business is nothing too complex

Gohar Tadevosyan, a 25-year-old resident of Vanadzor in northern Armenia, proudly showcases her recently acquired plot of land with a small house. Together with her husband, they transformed this space into a workshop where they craft bags, wallets, and other handmade leather accessories.

Gohar participated in a training on business management offered by the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU) in cooperation with the German Sparkassenstiftung. This helped her to understand that managing her own small business is not as complicated and unrealistic as she thought. The game also taught Gohar that there are no one-size-fits-all solutions; decisions must be tailored to the specifics of each business and various contextual factors.

While currently managing production themselves, they have plans to expand soon by hiring employees. Additionally, they aim to relocate their operations to one of the abandoned factories in the city to increase production capacity and diversify their product range.
