Keso Makharadze is a journalist by profession. In her rural home region of Guria, she has embarked on a new direction: the Taberne Guria Atsana. In her small family-run business, Keso focuses on eco- and ethno-tourism and has hosted guests from various European countries.
After five years, Keso Makharadze wanted to restructure and expand her business operations. She gained valuable insights and developed new ideas during the entrepreneurship training offered by the project “Supporting the Development of SMEs for Sustainable Forestry in Georgia – ECO.Georgia”. As a winner of the business plan competition, she was able to finance the setting-up of a campsite and garden equipment, thereby expanding her offering.
Keso’s guests can immerse themselves deeply in the culture of the Guria region, try almost forgotten regional dishes and experience authentic traditions. For Keso Makharadze, entrepreneurship is not just a profession, but a mission.
