The Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe’s Stock Market Learning Competition has now been held for the 5th time in Albania and for the 2nd Kosovo. In 2025, it attracted a record number of participants. 150 students and 157 young bank employees competed to be in the top places. Over a period of 4 months, they managed a fictitious portfolio with a starting capital of 50,000 euros in small teams. In this way, the Stock Market Learning Competition provided a very practical insight into how to trade responsibly on the capital market and integrate sustainability considerations into investment decisions. The banks use this competition as a learning tool to improve the quality of their customer advisory services. Universities integrated it into their seminar curricula.
In Albania, the Stock Market Learning Competition is implemented in collaboration with the Bank of Albania and the Albanian Financial Supervisory Authority and in Kosovo in collaboration with the Central Bank of Kosovo and Kosovo Banking Association. The partners regard it as a valuable contribution to the development of a sustainable investment culture. The winners get small cash prizes, which they can now invest in real financial investments.
